GIAGINTA MARTO

One of favorite attraction Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia was to scream out loud, top of the mountains, sitting on the rock. The name
that was echoed most of the Madonna. Sometimes Jacinta, "that to which the Blessed Virgin announced greater abundance of graces and greater knowledge of God
and of virtue," as Sister Lucia wrote, recited throughout the Hail Mary, pronouncing the next word only when the echo reproduced for entire previous one. The
most innocent prayer of a child, almost surreal, where the supernatural overlaps the natural, must be of sublime beauty. Well, Madonna chose her, her brother
and cousin to reveal to Fatima in 1917, the remedies that humanity and the Church would have to take to combat errors and wars: the recitation of the Holy Rosary, the struggle against sin , the
consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary to stop the communist ideology.
On September 12, 1935 the remains of Jacinta were transported from Vila Nova de Ourem Fatima. When the coffin was opened himself
testified that the face of the little seer was uncorrupted. A photograph was taken and the Bishop of Leiria, Monsignor José Alves Correia da Silva
(1872-1957) sent a copy of Sister Lucia, thanks, alluded to by virtue of her cousin. This fact led to the Monsignor ordered the nun to write everything he knew of
life of Jacinta, who was born here, the First Memoir, that the author of that Christmas ended in 1935.
Two years passed from the first memory and the Bishop of Leiria ordered Sister Lucy to write, in all truth, his life and the Marian apparitions, as well as had taken
place. Sister Lucy obeyed, writing the second memory 7 to 21 November 1937.
In a letter dated 31 August 1941 addressed to Father José Bernardo Gonçalves Sj, Lucia was born explains how the Third Memoir, "Bishop Bishop ... ordered me to remember anything that had relation with Jacinta, for a new edition they want to print. This order penetrated my soul
like a ray of light ... ". It was with this work that Fatima reached international dimensions. Surprised by the stories
of the Third Memoir, Bishop José Alves Correia da Silva and Don Lucia Galamba concluded that, in the earlier reports, had not said anything yet and hiding elements. So, October 7, 1941, the nun receives new order to write anything else that he could emerge from the events of Fatima. So it was that on
December 8, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, of the same year, the author delivered the manuscript, saying: "So far, I have done everything possible to hide what the apparitions of Our Lady in
the Cova da Iria had more intimate. Every time I saw myself obliged to speak, I tried to mention it in passing, not to find out what they wanted so much to
take in Serbia. But now, that obedience commanded me, I've said it all! And I remain as the skeleton, stripped of
everything, even of life itself, placed in the National Museum, to remind visitors misery and nothingness of all that passes. So stripped, I'll stay in the
Museum of World reminding those who pass, not misery and nothing but the greatness of Divine Mercy. "
With frankness and simplicity Sister Lucia said in these pages the "magical" beauty of their childhood. All three children were
born in Aljustrel, Portugal. Lucia dos Santos, then Sister Lucia of Jesus, March 22, 1907, died February 13, 2005 in Coimbra, Francisco Marto on June 11,
1908 at Fatima died April 4, 1919 (beatified, with her sister May 13, 2000); Jacinta Marto on 11 March 1910 and died in Lisbon February 20, 1920.
It was the spring of 1916, when the Angel of Portugal (as he calls himself) appeared in them, anticipating the arrival of Our Lady of Fatima. Lucia and Jacinta (as will happen with the Madonna), they could see and hear, the first could even talk, while Francis saw only. The angel, who
brought the Eucharist and informed them three times prayed: "My God! I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You. I ask
pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You. " Then he said: "Pray thus. The
Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications. "
Francis had a meek, humble, patient. In the game he accepted the defeat graciously and tended to isolate themselves, was not given
care and thought if it was marginalized. He was always smiling, friendly, condescending. When someone was determined to
deny him his rights as a winner, he bent without stand: "You think you've won?! Alright! I do not I care, "and if any
of the other children insisted on take away something that belonged to him, he said:" It '... well to me that I care? "'. And nothing really mattered, if not
the reality of heaven. He loved the silence and not missing an opportunity to mortify themselves by acts of heroism.
After grazing in the evening, Francisco and Jacinta were in the yard of the family of Lucy to play, and together they waited for Our Lady and the Angels to light their
"lamps" were defined in the moon and the stars, and then Francis animated in the count, but nothing delighted him more than to observe the rising and setting of the sun, which identified as the
lamp of the Lord, while Jacinta loved that most of the Madonna.
The sensitivity of mind of Francisco and Jacinta, who shone by the naturalness of their gestures, appearances, reached an extraordinary level of mysticism: the grace
payable gave rise to heights of virtue. Francis was one of deep soul of prayer. When he began to go to school sometimes
said to Lucy: "Look, you go 'to school. I'll stay here, in the church, near the Hidden Jesus. For me it is not worth to
learn to read; soon going to Heaven. When you come back, come and call me. " Then he would close the Tabernacle and,
when asked about what he was doing all those hours, he stated: "I look at Him and He looks at me."
While Jacinta did penance to save sinful souls from Hell, Francis thought to console Our Lord and Our Lady. Remembering the promise
of the Virgin Mary, which had always an immense nostalgia, to take him soon in heaven with Jacinta, rejoiced, saying, "at least there I can better console the Heart of Jesus and Our
Lady."
He knew accept and endure suffering with exemplary resignation and accepted the 'Spanish', which took him away, like an immense gift to console Christ, to redeem the
sins of souls and attain Paradise.
The short life of Jacinta spent in a manner parallel to that of his brother, linked by an identical spiritual serenity thanks to the climate of deep faith that is
breathed into the house. His temper, however, was a strong-willed and had a flair for dance and poetry. It was the
number one enthusiasm and lightheartedness. Will the events of 1917 in mutate its interests and no longer dance, taking on a serious, modest,
amiable. The profile that portrays Lucy's cousin is extraordinary is the portrait of the pure of heart, whose eyes speak of God
Jacinta was insatiable in the practice of sacrifice and mortification. The most severe penances for Lucia were instead dictated by
hostility family and especially his mother, who considered her a liar and an impostor. Lucy, being the largest, was the most oppressed and most visionary
questioned (to exhaustion) and by the religious authorities and civil. To crown this climate of tension soaked and warnings there was also the precarious
economic situation of dos Santos, also caused by the fact that in the place of Marian apparitions, owned by the family, it was no longer possible to grow anything, people went with donkeys and
horses, trampling everything.
At the beginning of the month of July 1919 Jacinta entered the hospital, she also hit by the "Spanish." His mother asked him what
he wanted and the small churches the presence of the beloved Lucy. The visit was all a talk about the sufferings offered to sinners in order to remove them
from Hell - with great dismay that they had been shown by the Virgin Mary - and the Pope: "You stay here to say that God wants to establish in the world devotion to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary. When there will be an opportunity, do not hide. Of 'everybody that God grants us graces through the Immaculate
Heart of Mary; ask themselves that to you, that the Heart of Jesus wants us close to Him, to be venerated the Immaculate Heart of Mary.We ask for peace to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary, God put it in the hands of Lei If I could put into the hearts of all, the fire that is burning in my chest and makes me love so much to the Heart of Jesus and the
Immaculate Heart of Mary! '".
When Lucy lost cousins was abysmal his pain, in fact, as she had to declare, he had no other on earth more beloved pet than to Francisco and Jacinta.

The Church has meditated long before raising it to the glory of the altars, not because he had any doubt about her life crystal clear, but why fine theologians were
trying to agree on a non-trivial question: if that is not 10 years old yet made the virtues can be lived to a heroic degree, as is indeed required for every Christian who is proposed for
veneration by the faithful as blessed or saint. At the end of every doubt is dissolved, because the good Lord has put more than one signature (miracles,
required to bring someone "altars") on the holiness of this little girl. Do not, therefore, to have had six apparitions of the Virgin Mary, but because these
have helped to achieve Christian perfection, we now have the joy of celebrating February 20 Blessed Jacinta Marto, one of the three visionaries of Fatima, the Pope has high the glory of the
altars along with brother Francisco May 13, 2000.
It all starts another 83 years before May 13, when Our Lady appeared for the first time (just 7 years old, because she was born on March 11, 1910), while in the pasture
with his brother Francesco and his cousin Lucia. And 'the latter (died February 13, 2005 on the threshold of 98 years) to testify that Jacinta until that day
is a little girl like all the others: she likes to play, like all children of that age is a bit 'touchy, pouts for nothing and does not give up so easily to lose, loves to dance and just the
sound of a fife rudimentary to tremble and swings his tiny body.
The Madonna bursts into his life and changes it radically, ponders for a long time and eternity of hell "takes seriously the sacrifices for the conversion of sinners,"
it also deprives snack to help the needy children of two families, falls in love the Pope who would love to meet face to face, often in surprising the prayer of a rush of love certainly beyond
his age. Any offer suffering for the conversion of sinners is always accompanied by a love that is found only in the greatest mystics.
On December 23, 1918, 14 months after the last appearance, she and Francis are affected by the "Spanish", but while the latter goes off in a few months, Jacinta for the
ordeal is more tormented occurs because a purulent pleurisy, which she endured and offer "for the conversion of sinners, and to repair the outrages that are made to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary." One last great sacrifice is asked: break away from her and especially by her cousin Lucy, to a shelter in the hospital in
Lisbon. Where you try anything, even surgery without anesthesia for groped to tear it from death, but where the Virgin Mary is to take it peacefully February
20, 1920, as he had promised.
