Mt 6.24-34

24 No one can serve two masters, because either they will hate one and love the other, or they will become attached to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

25 Therefore I tell you: do not worry about your life, about what you will eat or drink, or about your body, about what you will wear; Is life not worth more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they do not grow and do not reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than them? 27 And which of you, however worried, can extend your life even a little? 28 And for the dress, why do you worry? Observe how the lilies of the field grow: they do not toil and do not spin. 29 And yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was dressed like one of them. 30 Now, if God so dresses the grass of the field, that today there is and tomorrow he throws himself in the oven, won't he do much more for you, people of little faith? 31 So don't worry, saying, "What will we eat?" What will we drink? What will we wear? ". 32 Of all these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need it. 33 But seek first of all the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. 34 So don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. His sentence is enough for each day.

Which master do we serve?

These words surely emerged in the thoughts of Thomas More, Chancellor of King Henry VIII, (of whom the Church remembers today) when he was in prison in the Tower of London waiting for his fate. Thomas More has not failed for an instant at these words of the Gospel. And he did not like us who often serve two masters, even one, the Devil, pretending to serve God. Yes, we serve God or serve the Devil and all his machinations to turn us away from the true Master of the world: our Lord Jesus Christ.

For Thomas More it was evident that obeying the King and accepting his will, that is, agreeing with Him to void the previous marriage and marrying Anna Bolena meant serving the Devil. But are we aware that we use the Devil only by failing to keep the commandments? Or if we live as if God were not there? Occupied by earthly things, turning existence into a large shopping center. In appearance we risk little or nothing but in truth we are constantly in danger of losing  forever eternal life?

I today, who am I serving right now? Let us give an honest answer and seriously evaluate the consequences.

Good day.

Mt 6,1-6.16-18

1 Be careful not to practice your justice before men to be admired by them, otherwise there is no reward for you with your Father who is in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you give alms, do not sound the trumpet before you, as hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, to be praised by the people. I tell you the truth: they have already received their reward. 3 Instead, while you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your almsgiving may remain in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

5 And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites who, in the synagogues and in the corners of the squares, love to pray standing upright, to be seen by the people. I tell you the truth: they have already received their reward. 6 Instead, when you pray, go into your room, shut the door and pray to your Father, who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

16 And when you fast, don't become melancholy like the hypocrites, who take on a defeated air to show others that they fast. I tell you the truth: they have already received their reward. 17 On the other hand, when you are fasting, you are making your head clear and your face washed, 18 so that people do not see that you are fasting, but only your Father, who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

The hidden plague of the Church.

One of the wounds of the Bride of Christ, the Holy Church, today is undoubtedly the protagonist: the continuous media exposure of the ecclesiastical hierarchy, especially of the pope and his collaborators and bishops and priests who do nothing without being proclaimed over the roofs . It is well understood that the pope also has his more or less hidden advisors, who say and do without being noticed, to then bring everything back to the Supreme Pontiff. Well this spotlight, this protagonism, this media exposure is good I hurt the Church? Is it good I hurt Christ? Does it serve the cause of Christ? Certainly not! The fact is that all the media, especially the secular and secular ones, speak of the Pope, of that Cardinal of that Bishop, as if they were on their side, so from these men of the Church does not emerge if not their figure, while Christ is overshadowed . Certainly today, more than ever, people have been led to hunger for news and information, but little has been helped to think and reflect on what happens within the Church. For example, what people know about the Synod for the Amazon. If you listen to the Vatican and lay media, everything is beautiful, everything is good, everything is right. To understand instead that it is a Trojan horse to pass reforms especially of the priesthood, it is necessary to go on specialized channels and capable of deeper readings. And who can do it? Only if there are priests and lay people who have the ability to read inside the news and above all read inside the documents, which make the Gnostic theses (mother earth, animistic spirituality) or priesthood reform pass through the narrative of reality (ordinations of elderly men with family) to protestantize the Catholic Church, never as today has been put in place a washing operation of consciences and mind, done in a scientific manner, to cancel Christ from consciences and replace him with man. Which man? Certainly not the indigenous people of Amazonia, who are only a "work tool". But man, who commands, what governs, who has his own will and not that of God. All this serves to prepare the way for the Antichrist. Everything is in view of the Antichrist and we can do nothing to prevent it. The only thing we can do is remain faithful to what the Church has always taught, be willing to publicly defend the true Catholic Doctrine also, cost of living, have a strong spiritual life and prayer, to resist the anti-Christian culture to be found ready to present themselves before the antichrist to accuse him and before Christ to confess our faith and our love to his Divine person.

Mt 5.43-49

43 You have heard that it was said: You will love your neighbor and hate your enemy. 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven; he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and makes it rain on the just and the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do this? 47 And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing? Don't the pagans do the same? 48 You, then, be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.

The threshold of love

What is the real novelty that the Son of God, Jesus Christ, brings to the horizon of humanity? It is Love to the enemy. Jesus thus raises the threshold of love. In fact, as there is a threshold of pain beyond which it is not possible to become unbearable, so humanity has a very low threshold of love, which it cannot overcome. But when he surpasses it he finds God. Here the subject becomes deeper. The love of man, wounded by the sin of origin, is limited and selfish in this time of rampant pansexualism and homosexuality has taken on strong narcissistic traits. Only God who is Love can lead us further, he can help us raise the threshold of love. This is why Jesus tells us to love our enemies, because when we reach that threshold, we come to love the enemy, even if we do not feel hatred, we find God who accompanies us by the hand and begins to love us.

The heavenly Father accompanies the children born of his only-begotten Son, towards the borders of love. Going beyond love to the enemy we meet God and we begin to love him. Until we have reached these boundaries we cannot say we love God, maybe we have a vague feeling, very nuanced and contradictory, but we do not love God. If we come to love enemies only there we can say we love God.
