Feast of SS. Trinity

Mt 28,16-20

16 The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them indicato.17 When they saw him, fell down. But they doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them: "I was given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, until the end of the world "

Learn about and witness the One True God.

The greeting of Jesus before leaving this earth is to be sent to the mission: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations," baptizing (immersing) the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, is the latest confirmation of Revelation Ultimately God's Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

On the feast of the Holy Trinity this Gospel helps us verify what our knowledge of God and as our witness. Both go hand in hand, it is more profound our knowledge, with the stronger our witness.

But from what depends on our knowledge of God? It depends not only on having attended Christian initiation, catechism or participating in theology courses or reading books on theology, all good things. Our knowledge of God depends primarily on the testimony of others, by the faith of others. Especially in the work of evangelization which are engaged and families,

priests, lay men and women, catechists, theologians and many others, if not transmit their faith in what they do or say, it's like smoke and mirrors, a witness without credibility. Then there must be a life consistent with what is proclaimed, a living spiritual active. The baptism that the Lord says to teach is the sacrament of faith. Not a rite to be performed, but a witness to give.

The problem of the faith must involve first of all those who call themselves believers, because the experience is both real and is always powered, studied deeply and experienced.

The switch to the faith of those who do not believe depends on our faith to pass the non-believers. Nobody reaches alone the faith, it is always led by the faith of others.

Jesus sent his disciples into the world with their faith and pledged to accompany them always until the end of the world. And we will not forget the faith and our Christian identity at home tomorrow when we get out to go to our commitment to the world

Have a good day.

VIII week

of Ordinary Time

From 11.27 to 33 Mc

27Andarono back to Jerusalem. And, while he was walking in the temple, came to him the chief priests, the scribes and elders 28e said to him, "By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you the authority to make them? ". 29But Jesus said to them:" I will make a single question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30THE baptism of John from heaven or from men? Answer me. " 31Essi reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven," answers: "Why then did you not believe?". 32Diciamo thus: 'From men'? ". But they feared the crowd, because everyone believed that John was truly a profeta.33Rispondendo Jesus said, "I do not know." And Jesus said to them, "Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things."

We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Were numerous clashes with the religious authorities and Jesus. All aimed at countering his strong influence over the people and the embarrassment created by the words of criticism and judgment addressed to the chief priests, elders and scribes. The presence of Jesus bother, his words and his actions disturb them jealous.

Jesus in front of a question asked under the pretext to accuse him then, responds with another question about the origin of the baptism of John the Baptist, made instead to unveil their pettiness and inconsistency. They do not respond and then even Jesus answers. Jesus does not have to account to anyone for what it is and what it does. The way in which Jesus speaks it seems that He is the source of law.

But this fact and these words also apply to us today, that we pretend to recognize the authority of God on our lives and easily replace the law of God with that of men.

For the world, the world's governments, individuals do not recognize the 'authority of Christ? Why not take to model the law of God to work out the law of men? Why, a law that is then written in the human heart and in its nature, is increasingly seen as made by the Church to deceive and subjugate men?

The issue is one, God is not to prove anything to anyone, is the man who must use reason to seek the truth and be enlightened by the light of faith. The reason needs faith,

without which walking in the dark.

Even men of Jesus' time, especially the leaders do not let themselves be enlightened by the word of Christ himself. They not even have heard, even have believed the signs he was doing. Closed in his case they put a stumbling block on the path of truth.

Today the risk is equal and everyone interested in the Church, from the leaders, if you do not work on faith, their faith and their faith. Because Christ also speaks to us today. And the cause of unbelief in the world is the weakness of our faith, and therefore of our witness.

The Christian is equal to other men, but because of his faith is different from others, and it is a treasure for others. Why this hostility and persecution? We know that are unleashed by Satan, but Satan does not do anything if we permit him. Perhaps we Christians are not able to present ourselves as such. Our beliefs are not convincing because we are not convincing.

The question then is not in us to accept or not, but in being convinced of what we believe, and this belief will turn to holiness of life. Many people, who are deceived by false ideologies and ideals, they need to see that someone has come to know and see the truth. Good Day.

VIII week of Ordinary Time

From 11.11 to 25 Mc

11 And she came to Jerusalem, in the temple. And after looking around at everything, since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

12 The next morning as they were leaving Bethany, he was hungry. 13 Having seen from afar a fig tree that had leaves, he went to see if he could find something but when I came near, he found nothing but leaves. For it was not the season for figs. 14 Looking to the tree, he said: "No one ever eat fruit from you forever." And his disciples heard it.

15 And they came to Jerusalem. He entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple; He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and did not allow you were carrying things through the temple. 17 And he taught them saying, "Is it not written:

My house shall be called

house of prayer for all nations?

But you have made it a den of thieves. "

18 I heard the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the people were amazed at his teaching. 19 When evening came, they went out of the city.

20 The next morning, passing by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered." 22 Jesus said to them: "Have faith in God! 23 Verily I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Get up and throw yourself into the sea, "with no doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it's going to happen. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received and will happen. 25 When you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive, because your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. "

My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations

On this page of the Gospel of Mark shows the person of Jesus irritated and even angry: first curses a fig tree, which is not his fault no fruits, it is not the season for figs.

Then enter the temple and unleashes his wrath on those who made the market and then, consequently took advantage especially of the poorest. Even those who were poor could not show up empty-handed to make the sacrifices commanded by law. it would be too easy moralizing is the poor fig tree, maybe saying the Lord Jesus when you look for fruits that you should expect to find them, if you do not want to go the way of the fig tree. Or woe to those who, especially if a priest is, take advantage of the offerings of the faithful and is the market with the things of the Church. Too easy, too obvious. Jesus Christ had only this to say to us? Far from it. What he wants to say Jesus is the great lesson of prayer, a place of worship in which inner and outer meet us with God.

Jesus teaches us that prayer has the power you move mountains, to make the desert bloom, to achieve what is impossible for man to procure. But the prayer needs of mercy to be exercised, because it goes straight to the heart of God and in God's heart there is only mercy.

How can we get from God if we do not first reconciled among ourselves? And then how do we get from God if we do not have confidence that we have already achieved what we ask?

There is a place inside of prayer, a house interior and that house is our heart. But there is a house outside for the prayer and the church. Both places are cared for in view of the encounter with God.

Everyone can and must do their part because the church is a house of prayer. But the first thing that everyone should do, starting with the priests is to treat the house interior. When a person goes to church door what has within himself, for better or for worse. What one has in helping to build or destroy, spoil or disturb what is happening in the church, before during and after the Mass. Of this we must all be aware, from the priests.

How much it hurts to see people talking to each other, even for a long time, that does not kneel down to gather in prayer, that does not hint at a salute to Jesus, who turn their backs to the altar, who dress in a succinct and provocative , pointing eye upon men, women, girls and boys. Or they coming to church and do everything at the last minute in speed, without the slightest thought of being in God's presence.

But when there is the atmosphere of prayer you feel deeply involved and you look at the disturbing, you put yourself in an attitude of listening, waiting. You have a feeling of shame mixed with shame, if you realize you do not have a dress appropriate to the circumstances. Feel the desire to confess, to be reconciled to communicate with Jesus. Everything and person you speak of God and his goodness.

Feel to be back home. You hear the song you springs spontaneously from the mouth, like a melody that caresses your heart, you feel the joy of being together. Feel the sacredness of the moment and the minister of the altar, feeling finally to meet with God, a God who loves and gives himself to us.

How many times we have experienced so our Eucharist, how many times we participated in the Holy Mass with faith and entered the Church with the spirit of those who are aware of being in the presence of God?

We each play our part because God is happy with her children, in the place he has chosen to listen to their prayers. Have a good day.

VIII week of Ordinary Time

Mc 10,46-52

46 And they came to Jericho. As he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a large crowd, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus, who was blind, sat by the roadside in mendicare.47 hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Son of David, Jesus, have mercy on me. " 48 Many rebuked him because to be silent, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me." 49 Jesus stopped and said, "Call him." They called the blind man, saying to him: "Come on! Get up, he is calling you. " 50 He threw aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 Then Jesus said, "What do you want me to do for you?". The blind man said, "Master, I want to see!". 52 And Jesus said to him: "'Go, your faith has saved you." And immediately he saw and followed him along the way.

what do you want me to do for you?

Nothing happens by chance. The encounter between Jesus and the blind man of Jericho is the manifestation of God's plan. That day Bartimaeus could stay home, or put on another street. Or it is discouraged by the presence of so many people and why people paid no attention to him. Even the Lord Jesus happened to be passing by them. Jesus went to the blind man.

Here that although there were impediments (blindness, the people, the possible distrust) the meeting takes place. It almost seems that the blind is already healed before the words of Jesus, because it goes straight to him. Who drives him? Perhaps the strength of will? No faith, which puts into his mouth the right words to draw upon if everyone's attention, especially that of Jesus.

Then everything is done in a moment. Jesus asks a question that seems obvious to a blind man. But also it addressed to us, that we are not blind, and yet we do not see good in our lives.

So to us Jesus asks us: what do you want me to do for you? The blind man replied by asking what he lacks in that moment and you need more than anything. To us what we lack and what we need most of all? Is not faith? That which Jesus praises the blind man, saying: "Your faith saved?"

Are on sale now with faith and humility before God, who comes to us and gives us what we most need. Have a good day.

VIII week of Ordinary Time

Mc 10.32 to 45

32 While they were on the road going up to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking ahead of them and they were dismayed; those who followed were afraid. I took the Twelve aside again, he began to tell them what was about to happen: 33 "Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man is betrayed to the chief priests and scribes; condemn him to death and deliver him to the Gentiles, 34 mock him, spit on him, flog him and kill him, and after three days rise again. "

The 35 approached James and John, sons of Zebedee, saying to him, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask." 36 He said to them: "What do you want me to do for you?". 37 They answered, "Grant us to sit, in your glory, one at your right and one at your left." 38 Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Can you drink the cup that I drink or be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized? ". 39 They answered, "We can." And Jesus said to them, "The cup that I drink you will drink, and the baptism with which I am baptized, you also will be baptized. 40 but to sit at my right or at my left is not mine to give; It is for those for whom it is prepared. "

41 The other ten heard this, they began to be indignant at James and Giovanni.42 Then Jesus called them to him and said, 'You know that those who are considered rulers of the nations lord it over them and their leaders oppress them. 43 Among you this is not so; but whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. 45 For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many "

The difficulty to accept the cross of Christ

As the request of the two jars and the indignation of the other disciples with the words that Jesus says in reference to his passion, death and resurrection. Clearly shows the humanity of the disciples, our humanity that struggles to accept the plan of God. Christ must intervene to make it clear to his disciples that in his community is the rule that the greatest is the one who serves, not only because serving others, but because it is at the service of love. So finally Jesus puts the spotlight on his passion and death.

We know that we are served by Jesus Christ himself? We are served by love? When we go to Mass we weigh what happens on the altar? Which offer is renewed for us and for our salvation?

The sacrifice of the Cross is passed to a sacramental way to make it affordable and available to all, at all times. That's why it is the priest who presides, like the faith that participates should have the clear consciousness that do not participate in a show, a play, but to Christ's sacrifice, the same sacrifice that Christ offered on Calvary.

Because this consciousness pervades everyone must first of all priests live participation in the sacrifice of Christ with their whole lives, with suffering, bringing in their flesh the suffering of Christ and of men. Chairing the Mass should be up to cry for their sins and the people. Unfortunately it happens to see in the Church even more unseemly attitudes, especially towards someone or someone looks and always a great hurry to finish.

The crisis that is experiencing the Church of disaffection and especially of de-Christianization, desacramentalizzazione amoral and a drift against the law of God is also caused by the attitudes of priests and especially by not put faith in what they do at the altar. That's why we need to go forward and pray for the faith of the priests by them depends the salvation of many. Have a good day.

VIII week of Ordinary Time: San Filippo Blacks, priest

From 10.28 to 31 Mc

28 Then Peter answered and said, "Behold, we have left everything and followed you." 29 Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the Gospel, 30 who will not receive now, in this time, a hundred times more houses, brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. 31 Many are first will be last and the last shall be first. "

Behold, we have left everything and we

Pentecost ushered in the era of the Church, where the protagonist is always the Holy Spirit, while the man is called to follow Jesus in a radical way, that is total.

The stakes are high, eternal life and we have to weigh well what is the ballast that keeps us from following Jesus in the direction of Life can be wealth, attachment to things, people or goods. It can be a quest for glory on earth, a place ahead in the Church. We know that the ambition inhabits also our churches.

The whole Church is called to follow Christ, which takes place according to the state of life in which there is a son or daughter. Tthe size of the radical or the totality of the following is not only reserved for the consecrated, but to the whole Church, to which consecrated persons are a sign in front of the whole world.

Jesus says to Peter and that we will never lack what is needed for this life, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers and fields and will above all one thing: the persecution. Certainly the persecution has not offered by God, but prepared from the world and through it, God makes it grow and mature the faith of everyone. Indeed persecution mature faith of the whole Church, because being a body made up of many members, all the members suffer in one and whole body grows by faith and the testimony of just one.

This solidarity is done in the negative even with sin, both because of the original sin and for both our personal sin always has consequences on the entire body of the Church.

The Christian life we must understand not only the moral dimension, but more in the dimension of discipleship of Christ and discipleship, which requires you to follow Christ wholeheartedly, putting in his hands our lives and leaving us educate the Holy Spirit through the Gospel and the action of the Church.

This contrasts with the spirit of the time, where you want to do anything that goes against God and therefore against man must learn from the saints of the Virgin Mary what it means to go against the tide. Those who go against the current back to the source and find always the purest water and more good. Who goes where the current runs in the world will be in a dirty river and slimy dragging in the mud if the world. In which direction is placed our lives? Or we are stuck in the middle of the river flowing?

Have a good day.

Jn 15 26-27.1,16

26 But when the Paraclete, that I will send you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me; 27 and ye also bear witness, because you are with me from the beginning. 16 From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.

Pentecost: the Holy Spirit descends on us and dwells in us.

The feast of Pentecost was for the early Church a point of arrival and departure point. Those men who until then had been with Christ now are accompanied by the Holy Spirit, who dwells in them. It not come upon them in symbolic form, but occupying, filling their souls and their bodies. Here they are transformed and their change you notice it "seemed the drunkards," because it is filled with joy and Divine Spirit and not the spirit of wine.

But that Pentecost was only the beginning, the introduction to the great symphony of the Spirit that continues even today. Only that our mediocrity prevents us to participate in this symphony because we are too busy to take care of our bodies and take care little or nothing of the Spirit. St. Paul reminds us of this right, that the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh.

Make note of the presence of the Spirit in us, he makes him known as "sweet guest of the soul".

In the Church, as in every community, in every one of us as nothing happens without the presence of the Spirit. That's why we prestagli attention and support him in his inspirations. He takes care of our spirit and our soul, which also depends on our body.

It should, however preparagli a worthy dwelling taking away from our body impure sins and immorality and having an active spiritual life, made of listening to the word, of communion with the Lord and brothers through the Holy Eucharist, meditation, reflection, thanksgiving and put into action many of the inspirations of the Spirit, with much prayer and charity, to be modulated according to their state in life.

The great discovery that the spiritual life can make us do is to see how the Holy Spirit dwells in us and as we speak, we recommend that instructs us, comforts us, loves us. I wish you all a good Pentecost and a rediscovery of the Holy Spirit.

Seventh Week of Easter

Jn 21, 20-25

20 Peter turned and saw following them the disciple whom Jesus loved, the one who at the supper had leaned on his chest and had said, "Lord, who is it that will betray you?". 21 Peter therefore, seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, what will become of him?". 22 Jesus answered him, "If I will that he tarry till I come, what does it matter to you? You follow me. " 23 So the word spread among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. But Jesus had not told him that he would not die, but, "If I will that he tarry till I come, what does it matter to you?".

24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true. 25 There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written every one, I think the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

The Book of Life

The Gospel has a beginning, an end and also a continuation. The beginning and the end we find them on the text that has been handed down. The continuation is found in all generations of Christians of every language, people and nation who have written with their lives with faith and the testimony of those things that Jesus through the Holy Spirit continues to produce in them.

Those things, referred to by John, that if they were written the whole world could not contain the books, are the life and faith of each of us. Why, we must always remember, the hero of a Christian life is the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, always if we listen.

You need not be a pope or a bishop or a professional writer to write a book. Just that our life stories with facts and with words the work of God. Every Christian life lived in the will of God, even those who in the eyes of the world is the most insignificant, is a masterpiece worthy of the Divine Comedy. Every Christian life which is fulfilled in God, is written in the book of life (cfr. Ap 20,12). This is the most important thing. Have a good day.

Seventh Week of Easter

Jn 17.11 to 19

11 I am no longer in the world; they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you gave me, because they may be one, as we.

12 When I was with them, I guarding them in your name that you gave me, and I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I come to you and I say this while they are in the world, because they have in themselves the fullness of my joy. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

15 I do not pray that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is verità.18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world; 19 for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.

Be accompanied every day by the Risen Christ

Jesus' discourse may seem complicated, but it has only one argument: the fact that believers are called to bear witness to Christ in a world that does not belong, although there are inside, while participating in it.

Jesus says he delivered to them the Word of the Father, Himself, because they live in close contact with it, and we depend on it every action, thought and word. This is because they are educated and guided by the truth itself.

The world can with his pride and arrogance corrupt the goodness of faith and of Christian, because he does not want to manifest the glory of God, that is the person of Jesus and his Gospel, and does everything to mistificarlo, deny, manipulate it, because the believer does not manifest itself in the knowledge and presence of Jesus.

They are good the mass media to crush the faith of the believer and enhance instead the man. For example, today we speak often of Pope Francis, what it says and what it does, never emerges from the media says and does in the name of Christ. Thus we speak of the Church of St. Francis, the priests of Francis, the reform of Francis, beat Francesco, Francesco women, but not of Christ speaking in Francis. Sure it takes faith to recognize Christ in men, yet Christ is there before us and look at us.

Christ is no longer on this earth, but at the same time walks with us, we do not want to leave alone, he promised: I will be with you always, until the end of the world. Faith is this: to know to always be accompanied by the risen Christ.

Have a good day.

Seventh Week of Easter

Jn 17.1 to 11

1 Thus spake Jesus. Then he lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come: glorify your Son so that your Son may glorify you. 2 You have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all those you have dato.3 This is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and whom you have sent, Jesus Christ . 4 I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

6 I have manifested thy name to the men you gave me from the world. They were yours and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that all the things you gave me are from you, 8 because the words you gave to me I have given them. They accepted them and truly understood that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

9 I pray for them; I pray not for the world but for those you have given me, because they are tuoi.10 All I have is yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in loro.11 I am no longer in the world; they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you gave me, because they may be one, as we.

I pray for them.

Christ prayed to the Father for us. But in truth this prayer is addressed to us, because we realize what is at stake with our faith.

It is not indifferent to believe and not to believe. It's not the same thing from the point of view of the effects and results. Believing in Jesus Christ means to have access to eternal life: not only to life without end, but its author, Jesus Christ. Who does not believe it tine away from salvation and Jesus Christ

But the fact that one believes, affect much on those who do not believe, especially in a society that denies the existence of God. The believer, the one with a capital C, is always a question mark, a source of disturbance and embarrassment , a source of contradiction, because he thinks and acts not according to men, but according to God. So whoever does not believe has to see the faith of those who believe and can judge what it means to live without faith or live by faith. Maybe you can also compare the results from the human side

This is why Jesus asked the Father to protect them, why not fail in their faith, without which even non-believers can not backtrack and convert.

Faith has as its point of arrival the manifestation of God to all people of all tempi.Solo meeting him and believing you have eternal life.

The faith of a simple Christian, like that of a saint become the true heritage, the true legacy that you leave on this earth. It should never be lost if it remains written in the hearts of the people and becomes an opportunity for spiritual growth of those who receive it. Large estates and powerful dynasties could not resist the wear of time. Instead believer leaves behind a trail of light, a trace of light, a path safe and beaten for centuries, which runs through our history and what we can incamminarci without hesitation. And this path that we must follow in the darkness of this century. Have a good day.

Seventh Week of Easter

 Jn 16.29 to 33

29 he said to his disciples: "Behold, now talk openly and not so veiled. 30 Now we know that you know everything and you do not need anyone to question you. For this reason we believe that you came from God "31 Jesus answered them," Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it is already come, that will be scattered, each to his own and shall leave me alone; but I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

33 I have told you this that you may have peace in me. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage, I have overcome the world. "

I have overcome the world.

Believing in Jesus does not depend on us that they are aware of who Jesus is or have understood its message. To believe in Him is God's grace, illumination of the Spirit, the elevation of the ground and follow unconditionally.

Our faith, many times, is so limited and fought by agents of the world, which is why it needs a light that is not from men but from God, from Christ himself.

Without faith in Christ, everyone disperses its own way, behind his own ghosts. With faith in Christ restores unity of man in himself and among all men.

Safe to walk on this earth so full of pitfalls must be accompanied by Christ. He reproaches us because we let him alone, but in truth it is we who are left alone, with Him is the Father, but with us, who is it?

Jesus has overcome the world, not because I fought, so it's the world that fights Christ. Christ has won because he loved; for this world He died and rose again. Christ has won because it has saved.

The victory of Christ then manifested in our faith. Says the first letter of John: Whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith (1 Jn 5,4). Victory, victory, eternal life in the Risen Christ.

Even us to win the world we proclaim that God loves this world is saved him. So we'll save: announcing that God in Christ has loved and saved the world. This is the victory over the forces satanesche that today govern it. Have a good day

Ascension of the Lord.

Mc 16,15-20

15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them harm; lay hands on the sick and they will recover. "

19 The Lord Jesus, after talking with them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went forth and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that attended

Today is the feast of the Ascension of Jesus into heaven. Perhaps few know it, the time passes so quickly on the troubles and problems of life.

Yet it is a time of celebration that the Lord gives us through the Church, by knowing how to live with faith the time after the Ascension. What happened? Jesus fulfilled in full his earthly and heavenly, and is seated at the right hand of God.

If it were not for this elevation and separation from the earth, Jesus Christ, though risen, as we would be a prisoner of this world and of this land. His figure was that of a remarkable man, and powerful. He would also be called the Son of God, but would not save anyone, and it would be divisive contest. There would also be those who would try in every way to delete it to take its place.

But Christ is risen and is seated at the right hand of God. Heaven is open and not empty. Jesus is Lord, and no one will ever take his place.

We can look with confidence to God because we know who he is; We can pray to him, present to him our petitions, addressed to him our thoughts and our words. Our communions are not empty rituals, if they are empty and lack of faith on our part. But the surprises are not over: our humanity today is where no man is able to reach, and we are members of his body we live waiting to be reunited in Christ our head.

Today it's really party in heaven above and on earth below. If we want to feel that joy that characterized the Apostles, on this day, we have to place this event in our hearts and think of our Eternal Destiny. Christ tells us today: we are here and look. Have a good day.

VI week of Easter

Jn 16, 23-28

That day shall ask me nothing.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he will give it. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and you shall receive, that your joy may be full.

25 These things I have spoken to in a veiled way, but the hour is coming when I will no longer so veiled and tell you plainly of the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name, and not tell you that I will pray the Father for you: 27 for the Father himself loveth you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come in the world; now I leave the world and go to the Father. "

Prayer is the 'art of cultivating the soul.

Our communication with God is through prayer. It would seem a bit trite to say so, but the Lord himself would show up to pray and talk with the Father in long conversations, even at night. Tell me if there are other ways, as well as spiritual ones, to communicate with God. Spiritual streets there are many, but the main one is prayer.

St. Augustine calls the prayer the cry of the heart; also he says that prayer is desire, desire for God. Certainly the prayer requests that we put before God, with the heart and with the mind and the body is placed in a situation of attention to God. But prayer asks one thing more than others: the prayer asks for our faith. In fact many think they pray because they say the prayers, or because they come to Mass, but then the heart, the mind and above all faith are located elsewhere.

This situation can be occasional distraction or pathological based on how we were raised in prayer. The Lord Jesus certainly looks more heart and a minimum pulse of love for him does not escape, but pray well is to do well what needs prayer.

Prayer gets us not by what we ask, but according to the opening of the heart and the faith that we put ourselves.

Faith requires that prayer is our relationship with Jesus, the way we treat it, listen to him, we love him, follow him and fear.

The Father is always ready to give and we must always be ready to receive.

Many people wonder why pray? This question is only when it is abandoned and after the prayer, to justify, say: Why do I have to pray!

Our relationship with God is much deeper than it seems. The simple to say prayers or to go and hear the Mass not by reason of a work that asks deeper spiritual life. It 's easier than digging in the garden to cultivate the soul.

If we start to get something from God, we ask that the Divine Farmer teaches us through prayer the 'art of cultivating the soul. Have a good day.

VI week of Easter, St. Matthias Apostle

Jn 15,9-17

9 As the Father has loved me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be full.

12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 No one has greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father I have made known to voi.16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and I commissioned you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name I may conceda.17 This is my commandment, that you love one another.

What can we do to remain in his love?

Again back this appeal, that the Lord does these days, preceding the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost. "Remain in my love."

I see that it's so hard to stay in the love of Christ, because we cultivate our things easily or with difficulty passions and bring again to Him everything, even the glass of water I've just been drinking, do not bring him to him. It would be enough to say: "Thanks , Lord, for this glass of water that is up to you. There is much to say and thank the good Lord.

Yet it is so necessary to be in His love, to not lose our capacity to love, to the measure of God, because we were made in His image, but we do not act in God's image.

To stay in His love must be in the commandments, you must live them rather than recite. Must be very thank for everything and our God, we must overcome our selfishness. You must open your heart and your wallet to those in need, always thinking that we then will the Good God, directly and free of charge. Not invent anything to please our God.

When he watches men has many reasons to be sad, we offer at least one reason to rejoice every day.

In short, we do everything to remain in his love, especially love and defend life and purity of heart and of costumes. There imagine how much pain it causes in the Lord sin impure, especially when committed by consecrated.

You see so many things we can do to remain in his love. Then we wait. let's get to work. Even this small comment I want to dedicate to him to thank him for everything in my life. Have a good day.

VI week of Easter

Jn 16, 12-15

12 I have much more to say, but for the moment you are not able to bear them peso.13 When he comes, the Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth, he shall not speak of himself, but will say only what he has hearing and he will shew you things to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

Christ is the whole truth.

Let us also in the Upper Room, on the evening of the Last Supper, to receive these words as a testament. Jesus entrusts to his disciples and to us the fullness of God's revelation and the knowledge that without the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, we can not have access to God.

The revelation of God is not only the fruit of the knowledge of man, but of the Spirit, to which we must pay close attention. The Spirit will guide us to the whole truth, that is, Jesus Christ.

The truth about man, about the history, of every human life, has to do with the person of Jesus. This is why Jesus should be the first concern of the soul and the first need of every person who seeks the truth.

Today it seems that we speak of Christ only in places ecclesiastical academic, or as lessons of Theology. But there is someone who speaks of Christ not by hearsay, but by living experience of Him? Even consecrated between them speak of Christ. Why? If we have a lively interest, if we love to his person, the Holy Spirit will take what is most intimate and holy in Christ and we will announce it and knowing more about the Christ, we know the Father, God himself, and his mystery of love for us.

Let us now have a lively interest in the person of Jesus; we try to please him in everything; we try to comfort him, to be near him; we try to overcome indifference and hardness of heart, which the world today has to his person and of the Word.

If we want to know what you actually do us ask the saints, the great love of Christ, as St. Francis, St. Therese of the Child Jesus, St. Faustina Kowalska and many more and we will find fresh bread for our soul.

If Christ is always in search of man, man must always be looking for Christ. Have a good day

VI week of Easter

Jn 16: 5-11

5 But now I go to him who sent me and none of you asks me, 'Where are you going? ". 6 But because I have told you this, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away: for if I go not, the Paraclete will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will prove the guilt of the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment. 9 Concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; 11 about judgment, because the prince of this world is already condemned.

And 'good for you that I go away ...

Jesus left this earth and announces it first to his disciples. Creates in them a memory of words and facts that will help you understand all the events following his death and resurrection.

The most extraordinary event will be sending the Holy Spirit. These are things that we can just glimpse and think, which hardly we realize if it were not for centuries men and women enlightened by that same Spirit which was then sent to the whole Church

I too, despite being a sinner I try to say something and meditate on the departure of Christ. Maybe it was better that remained here to direct himself to the Church, because we humans are only able to combine trouble. Yet He says that it is good that it is good for him to leave, to be able to send us the Holy Spirit.

The historical presence of Jesus would have been a stumbling block to the Gospel message? Maybe yes! It should think that men would be able to deny the resurrection and therefore to bring the Risen Jesus to some messiah sorcerer, thereby distorting the reality of Jesus Christ as the Son of God. In addition would increase the need to see to believe: see a man who had died, to see him perform miracles, see its power. Things that Jesus has always wanted to avoid in public life.

The gift of the Holy Spirit works instead the universalization of the person of Jesus Christ, accessible everywhere, to all people of all times and so the same for everyone, without the need to see, without limiting its presence in a body, but extending its presence throughout the Church, the Body of Christ, present in every person who joins him.

The gift of the Spirit and not by divisions, because it is not ethnic, not as a people or a particular group, but by God Himself. Jesus Christ being the Son of God in the person of its meat is a jew, and therefore can be fought over.

The Spirit works in the hearts, minds and not subject to limits of space or time, and no one can keep him chained. Only you can shut down with sin, especially with the impure, with indifference, with hatred, abandoning prayer, liturgical and spiritual life and charity.

Only the Spirit can convince the world and convert it from sin by not believing in the person of Jesus; justice: that God sent another savior and judgment: to not be involved ourselves in the condemnation of Satan, the prince of this world.

Still we not know the Holy Spirit and we appreciate your help and inspiration. | All it takes to have it close, it takes very little to remove him these days of grace to lead us towards Pentecost may be yet another opportunity to increase the faith and knowledge of the Holy Spirit. Good Day.

VI week of Easter

Jn 15,26-27.16,1-4

26 But when the Paraclete, that I will send you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me; 27 and ye also bear witness, because you are with me from the beginning.

1 I have told you this so that you may not fall. 2 They will expel you from the synagogues; indeed, the hour is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God. 3 And they will do this, because they have not known the Father nor me.4 But I have told you these things so that when their time will come, there remember, because I have told you. I do not have told you from the beginning, because I was with you.

Do not quench the Spirit

Jesus says these words of consolation talking to the future, that he would send the Holy Spirit, after the events of his passion, death and resurrection. So the Holy Spirit has already been sent, is present and active in the personal and collective history of mankind.

Now, say that does the Spirit of God, it means that God acts, to witness and convince men that Jesus is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. Once you believe in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit helps us to witness and talk about Christ in an appropriate manner.

The Holy Spirit works in us, in body and soul, but on condition that they can stop in. It may be that we treat it as an ornament that is used or moved at will. Instead we should be leading, that inspired a good life, lived in earthly pursuits but always in view of the sky.

In whatever we do, we ask for the advice and help of the Holy Spirit, will never fail to inspire us, to correct us, to comfort us, to support us in the test.

Even when we are in distress, persecuted and killed for Christ's sake, do not miss the action, which strengthens our spirit, while the body is at the mercy of persecutorii.

But we must train ourselves to live in the Spirit, if you want to have in us what He offers, all his manifold gifts.

The Spirit is in direct contact with our soul, which is also spiritual; He is attentive to our thoughts, which are also spiritual; It is present in our hearts, because what we do has its origins in the meeting between our will and inspiration.

But no doubt there are conditions that allow the Spirit to stay and not go out. St. Paul says in Galatians 5.6 and following good thing can turn off the Spirit in us: the passions of the flesh and fornication. They must be fought to make way to the desires of the Spirit and its inspirations. That's why the devil attentive to our lives by turning their carnal passions to avoid listening to the voice of the Spirit.

Today you do not ever hear of a serious struggle by believers and the Church to the passions of the flesh. There is a resounding silence about lust and immorality, present not only in civil society but also in the Church.

Especially young women, including married and women who do not put clothes appropriate to the place and time they are experiencing spiritual, bringing lust in church. Or men who are wolves in the church and that seduce with their charm, their word.

Today dress serves not only to cover themselves, but more to get noticed. But by whom? By Christ? No! But by men as well as women who are hunting even in church.

Even when you're not at the Mass you can feel comfortable that come immediately assailed by these sexual messages: perfumes, hair loose and well in sight, short skirts, low waist pants, transparency of all kinds and so many other things put on purpose to deceive, (there are women who want to seduce other women) so that you can no longer stay in the church and we go when there is none.

Lust is in the Church, and nobody talks about it. Summer is coming soon and will appear in church clothes ever lighter, white and transparent, and after we complain that priests are tempted and fall. The devil tries all his cards to extinguish the Spirit and in the Church uses just the woman to bear the sin of lust. We must avoid being unaware of his accomplices. Have a good day.

VI Easter Sunday

Jn 15: 9-17

God loved us first

We try to describe the love that Christ has for us, to avoid talking about something that does not correspond to reality, but only our expectations, for another very human.

Yes, because the love of Christ for us is not only of divine origin, but is suitable for God. When God loves, he loves with all his heart. His love is the total of all creatures, especially with the man made in his image and likeness.

His love is eternal. It will never fail. Although the creature, to his misfortune, fell into the hell, it is not less than the love of God for the creature. God in turn can not force each of us to love Him. The creature, man has the ability to reject the love of God, while God never refuses the love of his creature.

Because the man might taste the love of God, God became so close to man by taking upon himself our human nature. We are so united to Jesus Christ that we are not aware of his presence in us.

Jesus wanted to be among men, know our way of life, each of us, sharing with us all, he shares the family, knows the joys and sufferings of each.

But we know the sufferings and joys for us? And what are our joys for him? Many times we do not love reciprocity with our God. We are led to a love that satisfies us and that is not to pay, even for a little to his boundless love. God us from everything and asks nothing of what he has given us. God wants only one thing from us that we should love one another. This is the best way to respond to God. Clearly we must not be of wood against it or think to love God without loving our neighbor.

The words of today are more than ever of current for man

that often follows another commandment, which is very different from another and Father, who orders his sons: "Odiatevi, as I have hated. The devil wants to instill hatred in the world, but God's love. "We are instruments of love and not of hatred. That's why we have to do more serious work on ourselves, because we do not creep into the command of the father of Satan.

The commandment of Heavenly Father feeds his love. He loved us first and because of his love we can love each other.

But where are the sources of love because we are broken cisterns? The sources of love are in churches around the world, are the altars of Christ on which he is offered to the Father and his offering, on the altar of the cross, there is the safety of God's love for us. So if we go to the Eucharist, with the desire to come to drink from Love we will not be disappointed. Good Sunday.

V Week of Easter

Jn 15.18 to 21

18 If the world hates you, you know that it hated me first. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love you as its own; because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I have said to you: 'A servant is not greater than his master. " If they persecuted me, they will persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also. 21 But they will do all this to you because of my name, because they know not him that sent me.

The dual membership

The relationship between Christians and the world is well described by this passage from the Gospel of John: the world as it hated Jesus, so hates Christians, those who belong to Jesus and do not belong to the world. Indeed those who were chosen by Christ, and withdrawn from the world.

Therefore, a clear sign of belonging to Christ is the hatred that Christians can experiment on himself. The world, because of their relationship with Christ, rejects them, he hates them, to persecute them and kill them. Jesus says: "If they persecuted me, they will persecute you.

This can be a cause for discouragement from those who want to be a Christian and to live as a Christian, but in truth, to the comforting action of the Holy Spirit, strengthens those who believe in faith and union with the person of Jesus. So in those who suffer because of the world acts Christ and all his power.

Reading acts and passions of the martyrs of all time, it is quite clear how does the Spirit of Christ in people of any age, sex, social class and culture. Since even children, adolescent boys and girls as the martyrs of Uganda, or more anciently St. Lucia, sant 'Agata and St. Cecilia, are proof of how Christ works in those who belong to the faith.

The danger that a Christian lives today, it can lead to deny Christ, even in front of a small test or contrasts, is the dual role: that think that they belong to Christ, while being in this world. I live as the world lives and I think as the world thinks, I behave as does the world, obeying its laws and then I go to church on Sundays to wash my conscience and say to God, to myself and perhaps to others, I I'm a good person.

Many times this dual membership is not the result of a choice, is the consequence of a social and family to which we are bound. Yet there have been and people like St. Aloysius Gonzaga, St. Francis Borgia, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati and many others who, though belonging by birth to the world, have freed themselves decisively from the world, refusing titles, riches, the support of powerful of this world, to consecrate themselves to God and live like Christ, chaste, poor and obedient.

These people had all the numbers to be of prime numbers in society and have become the last, with the last of this land and now are prime numbers in the sky.

The dual membership is not just about very rich people, but also people who have little, simple men and women, but do not have a spiritual impetus enough and are led by the world, from its offer of goods (materials) and its seductions. How many children did the world, and as worries grow them up to make them his forever.

The dual role is something very creepy and it attacks many times the clerics of all levels, who can not decide whether to stay with God or to be with the world and unfortunately are negative example for the faithful.

It would have to say much, but let each one to reflect on the state of life How effectively we feel we belong to God and to the world. We check our state of life, the choices we make and how we may use this world to enjoy it or to serve it for eternal life, because it passes the scene of this world (cfr. 1 Cor 7.29 to 31). Have a good day.

V Week of Easter

Jn 15:12

12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 No one has greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for everything that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and I commissioned you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name I may conceda.17 This is my commandment, that you love one another.

A commandment and a program of life.

And perhaps not very present the Word of Jesus, "Love one another? Previous because today happens quite the opposite. It's just a joke, a word too, just be a bit 'nervous that you can get to do unspeakable things, unimaginable. And these things are full of the news media.

Behind certainly there is the devil, who fan the flames of our vices and passions, especially lust, then anger, with pride and arrogance.

We need positive examples of people who live the commandment of Christ, who is not only a commandment but a program of life. But to make this program a commandment of life must go and stay at the school of Jesus and practice, learning from him.

I do not know what occasions today will give us the Lord to live this word and this commandment. I think that today, as in every day of our lives, there is the opportunity to practice this gentle command of love. And if anyone causes us to act contrary we pay attention, because in that moment Christ is ready to give us his grace if respond as He responded to his enemies, forgiving them, not taking into account a wrong suffered. And if there are certain things that seem unforgivable deliver to the Lord the task to act him. But what can we do, let's do it from the heart.

However vigilant on us, because we can do a great good, as to make even a great evil. Have a good day.

V Week of Easter

Jn 15,1-8

1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the agricoltore.2 Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word that I annunciato.4 Abide in me and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, and I in him, bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 Whoever does not remain in me is thrown away like a branch and withers; men gather them, and cast them into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

Abide in me.

Returns today this Word of Jesus: I am the Vine, you are the branches. This is a pressing appeal of Christ for us, because we are in Him. There is no alternative. If we do not remain in Him we are in ourselves, our weaknesses and our sins In addition we are very exposed to the attacks of the devil that has as its goal to make us condemn in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, like Him (Rev 21,8) .

But because we easily we turn away from Him? The reasons are many, of all kinds, but the main reason is related to our heart and that is divided against himself or / and hard, especially to Christ and the brothers. In addition we are not always present to ourselves, our mind wanders and worries assail us, as if Christ was not concerned about ourselves. Just if we remain in Him, we realize also what Jesus is in charge of your life, even of that material, which haunts us as much: "What shall we eat? What will we drink? What clothed (See. Mt 6,31).

To remain in Him must train memory and remember his words and have the will to remain in Christ. Then the rest will do him, just because once grafted to the true vine itself will take care of its branches and see the Divine Farmer at work, cutting or pruning. We therefore advised all. Those who think that hell is a joke, take seriously the words of Jesus. Have a nice day.

Fifth Week in Ordinary Time

Jn 14.21 to 26

21 Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and show myself to him. "

22 He told Judas, not the Iscariot: "Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?". 23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words; and the word that you hear is not mine but the Father who sent me.

25 I have said these things while I am still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said.

You can not proclaim Christ without Christ

This question of Jude: "Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" And the answer of Jesus: "Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him ... ", tell us which direction to take the revelation of God to men: do not take the direction of the world, although they need God's world, but the direction of who enters into a relationship of love with God, in communion of life, who does his person a place where God can dwell.

Man must know how God comes to him, how dwelleth in man and the ways in which man comes to God. Today, for many, the relationship of faith with God is like a ghost, an absent, but is not so. To go to a place we do not know well before we inform you or ask along the way which you need to travel more with God. We need to know God well and its streets to be in relationship with Him. The way he runs is that of 'love for man.

For those who enter into a relationship of love with him, he becomes the dwelling of God out of love, the opening of the heart that one can offer, according to the renewal of the person, which is regenerated in the image of God. The house God is real man, not symbolic and this is abiding that produces holiness, which regenerates us in the image of God

But the world as God comes? In the world there is in place, since the Son of God became incarnate, a rejection of God, which gradually became more and more practical and ideological, that is, with precise facts and theorized with compelling arguments, (once you were writing evidence of God's existence, but today the evidence of the nonexistence of God), generating human societies centered on making man, on his will to dominate, especially on his similar and not about God, about his desire to save ' man, to offer him his friendship, to prepare him for his eternal destiny.

The world alone will never change the 'orientation against God, also because the forces of darkness, who dwell in it prohibited it. The only way to bring Christ into this world passes through the man in whom God dwells, man-bearer of God, living in the world, but not of, the door where Jesus Christ is rejected, denied and dismissed, persecuted and killed in 'man himself.

It 'was the very Son of God to choose this path, bringing his divinity in our human nature, in a society, the Jewish, who had lost contact with God, as a result of a compliance sterile and hypocritical law Mosaic.

Today, even more, if we want to bring Christ in this society that has rejected, it must take him with us. Especially the religious priests nuns and consecrated persons must be careful to proclaim Christ without Christ, to witness to the faith without faith, to sanctify without first being sanctified. This also applies to the large group of catechists, catechists, animators of all types of ministry: to proclaim Christ without Christ is the absolute disaster. That is why the churches are emptying, the catechesis of the speakers is sterile and its employees do not know what to invent to attract people. So says the prophet Jeremiah: Even the prophet and the priest

They roam the country and do not know what to do. (Jer 14:18)

And how do you have Christ with us? It must be holy and to kill us in the works of the flesh, to work for our sanctification, our conversion, to have within us a spiritual life. San Giovanni Bosco, who as a boy had invented to attract his little friends to prayer and Christian education, the Society of Joy, he was already a champion of prayer, purity, friendship with God.

So we go to the school of the saints, and we will know how to bring Christ in us to bring it to others.

Have a good day.

V of Easter

John 15: 1-8

1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the agricoltore.2 Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word that I annunciato.4 Abide in me and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches.

 We are like the branches.

What is the difference between us and the branch of which Jesus speaks. How can Jesus applied to himself the image of the vine, when he is something more than a screw?

The images that Jesus uses are used to effectively describe and to explain the kind of relationship between us and him and God. How true are the images of the vine and branch, because we can find in nature, and the more real even deeper our relationship with Him. Only when we hear these words, we think only to the simplicity of the branch and the vine and not the grandeur and the depth of our relationship with Jesus.

Jesus is the true vine and my Father, God, and the One who cultivates this life and think that with the love grows. We are the branches and we live if we are united to the vine, Jesus, if not, secchiamo and we are thrown away and burned in the fire. We try to think of our position towards the true Vine, Jesus, we can be united with Him. How can we be buckets ready to be cut. Or we have already been cut and about to be burned.

The Lord Jesus does not tell us a story, a parable, but the truth about our current situation, because we allow ourselves to heal from the Celestial Farmer. He prunes us for our good, binds us and has the patience to wait because they bear fruit.

Nobody in the world tells us these things. Everyone tells us that it is the others who have to change, as each of us is the object of attention by the Father, each of us and helped in bringing fruit.

But what is the result? The sap of the vine produces grapes and wine from it. The sap of the Vine Vera is the Divine Life, which generates in us the fruits of love that give eternal life.

And we go forward as if nothing had to be concerned about the lives of the earth. And then we wonder why Captain so bad things. Let's take care of most of the Vine Celeste and even on this earth we will see mature fruits of love and peace that this screw offers.

Remember, just a glass of wine to become an alcoholic (because there was always a first glass) and ruin your life and others. But do not just remember at Christmas and Easter that God exists. Better to be drunk with God, which shines in the world.

Good Sunday.

Fourth Week of Easter

Jn 14.7 to 14

7 If you have known me, you will know my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him and have seen him. "

8 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and we shall be satisfied." 9 Jesus answered, "so long time with you and you do not know me, Philip? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you, do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. If nothing else, believe because of the works themselves.

12 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and will do greater works than these, because I go to the Father. 13 And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

The divided heart.

"If you knew me, you will know my Father also." (Jn 14,7)

How easily we say we know God. I say to myself: how easily say we know Jesus Christ. Maybe sometimes I speak from hearsay, but know it implies something more than hearsay. Knowing Jesus means meeting him: a real encounter, Tu to face, heart to heart.

The encounter with Jesus is never a formal meeting between two people who basically do not know and greet just saying good morning and good evening, but from heart to heart.

His heart is always there for me, but my heart was never ready for him. This is the real drama of man. As our heart is divided: divided among ourselves, our occupations, others, including the people we love. And for Jesus? Many times there is not even time for a greeting, a prayer, a sign of the cross.

This is the great tragedy, because without Jesus Christ you can not know the Father, you can not be received from the Father. Nothing is possible without him, you can not believe in God the Father and the Holy Spirit and we are men adrift, tossed here and there by every wind of doctrine, by human ideology.

We must always observe our heart and our mind also to see how much space to reserve God. If we hypothetically give much space as possible to God what happens to our lives? Perhaps we are no longer free, maybe we lose the ability to act, to do? No! The opposite is the case. Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and will do greater works than these ... (Jn 14:12). The Infinite, the Eternal dilate our spirit suitable for God and man will be capable of extraordinary things, the first of which will own the capacity to love according to God, giving their lives, losing to the other as God that losing is found increasingly in when Infinite Gift of Love.

But to give space to God, to meet him and know him really need much of our Get off, you need to waste so much time for him, must make room for God. If not you may be in conflict our things and matters to God. We know then how it ends. So as not to give up our things God is denied, not only with words, but more with the facts. God is denied and closes to him the way of our hearts.

Knowing this is important not to continue to ignore it, thinking they know God, but deny him of facts.

But who teaches us to walk through the streets of the heart, the soul? We must return to the old masters of the Spirit, as St. Teresa of Avila, which this year marks the 500th anniversary of his birth, which teach us to meditate on ourselves and on God's Word to see what are the ways that we lead to God. Let these teachers, there are they are ancient and modern and also contemporary to us. How do you recognize the good ones? The good ones do not deny the ancient ones. Have a good day.
